Welcome to The Trailhead
The Trailhead, located on the edge of the Towpath Trail, Cascade Locks Park and Downtown Akron, combines natural charm, rustic elegance and a thoughtful spirit – all personally crafted for you and your unique event.
From weddings to corporate and social events, The Trailhead features accommodations for 25-175 guests.
Built-in 1904 as Swinehart Tire & Rubber, and beautifully renovated in 2015, the building also includes 24 loft apartments and brewery. This thoughtfully sustainable large event space glows with natural light and a love of local. It features a large dance-floor, an artistically modern bar, an outdoor garden courtyard and spacious greenery. Located in the NoHo district, The Trailhead shares a historic building with Lock 15 Brewing Company and 24 loft apartments.
The Trailhead team can also connect you with our sister venues to craft the perfect event.
Our event space puts an emphasis on flexibility and has a rustic, elegant palette featuring celebrated Akron artists. The space uses re-purposed natural wood, and was designed with the importance of energy and efficiency in mind. It’s a short walk to our National Parks, Cascade Locks Park and the Mustill Store Museum, perfect for capturing timeless photographs.
